BATMAN RETURNS (1992) An incredible Burton film. This was more Burton’s style than Batman was. The entire circus freaks and the scenery are great. As in the first flick, the casting is as good as it gets. My favorite? Paul Reubens (A.K.A. Pee Wee Herman) as the Penguin’s father in the opening sequence. I am always surprised when people say this one is the worst of the bunch. Burton did an incredible job, and compared to the next two in the series, this movie is Citizen Kane. This movie also introduced me to Christopher Walken, whose performance is simply dastardly as the evil Max Shreck. Rated PG-13 for some language, violence, and sexual content. BrendoMan's Rating: A-
