BWF RETURNS!
"We're glad to be back in action. We've finally got
all our technical difficulties worked out, we've got the contracts worked
out, and hopefully we will be around for a long, long time," said BWF Owner
and President, Brendan Creecy. The BWF had been shut down since July.
There are some minor roster changes, but nothing major. The first card
was held last week as Masahiro Chono once again took BWF gold and became the
World Champion.
KIDMAN RETURNS TO THE BWF
Billy Kidman made his triumphant return to the newly
reformed BWF this week, winning the Television title in a four corners match
with Taz, Jeff Hardy, and Masato Tanaka. "It's good to be back, it's great
to finally get some recognition, and I plan to be around for quite some
time," said Kidman in an interview. Kidman made his debut in the EWF a
few years back and stayed with the company until the DWL was formed.
Kidman is a former DWL U.S. Champion.
HBK GOLDEN ONCE AGAIN!
Proving that his previous title reigns in the BWF weren't a
fluke, Shawn Michaels claimed the BWF Intercontinental title in a four
corners match and successfully defended on Saturday against Christopher
Daniels. "I feel good, I look good, and baby, you ain't seen nothin
yet. Chono, I'm looking for you and that belt. You can run from
HBK, but you can't hide" said HBK in an open challenge to the BWF Champion.
BRENDAN AND MASON BACK ON HOLD?
"We're going to stay behind the scenes once again, at least
for the time being," stated Brendan Creecy in a press conference on
Thursday. The Big Boys have decided to stay out of the ring until
things get settled down once again. Right now their main goal is
getting both the BWF and DWL back and functioning and to re-establish the
IFTC and hopfully a Tournament of Champions.
